CMP>How has CMP made the impossible possible for you?
Kay) It was a Thursday morning, about 4am. My partner and I did a prayer, and asked God to help us find a place. The next day he went to an appointment at mission Australia in Penrith, and they told us about CMP. We went there the next day, on the Friday.
Marty wanted to help us, but my boyfriend was a bit unsure because Marty is a joker. We left that day and thought about it, and ended up going back Sunday and Marty put us in a house for 1 or 2 nights. He then put us in a different place for three weeks. After that we went to the farm at St Marys.
They then found another temp place for myself and my partner with some others. My partner and I were still looking for jobs, and I found a job at hungry jacks. Boyfriend volunteered at CMP while he was still looking for work. He found a job, and not long after I found out I was pregnant. Not long after that we found a unit to live in.
CMP>What was the best thing that came about from you finding CMP?
Kay) Getting closer to god. Knowing there’s people out there who will help you when you have nothing. If it wasn’t for CMP we wouldn’t be here right now.
CMP>Is there anything you think we could improve on?
Kay) No everything was great.
CMP> Did our staff treat you with courtesy and respect?
Kay) Yes, they were very friendly. They treated us like we were mates.
CMP> Was there a certain Staff Member that you felt close to, that you would recommend for service?
Kay) Ashley, our case manager. We were really close to her. Also Marty, Albert and Pastor Matt.
CMP>How long ago did you meet up with CMP?
Kay) September 2013.
CMP>Do you still keep in contact with CMP?
Kay) Yeah, for a while we were but because we’ve just moved house again we haven’t been able to keep in contact as much as we’d like to. Once everything settles we’re going to start being in contact more.
CMP> Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
Kay) Just wanted to say thank you again for CMP really helping us.
