Keller Raise Funds For CMP Through Outback Ride

Keller dirt bike riders hoping to conquer Aussie outback for charity
The scorched red Australian centre is a harrowing and hostile terrain which is among the world’s toughest to traverse. This August, 10 men will spend 11 days riding dirt bikes across the 4500km stretch from Adelaide to Darwin for Christ Mission Possible.
The second annual Coast 2 Coast will take the 10 riders from Keller, a foundation and ground engineering corporation, along dusty trails through iconic Australian landmarks such as Birdsville, Katherine, Humpty Doo and finally, Darwin.
In all the Keller team, including Keller Australia CEO Mark Kliner, will ride around 500kms each day aiming to raise funds for CMP and five other charities that receive little or no government funding.
“We’re hot on the heels of last year’s amazing success, we’ve refined our charities and set a new target of $250,000 for 2014,” Mr Kliner said.
“Christ Mission Possible is doing amazing work with homelessness, food and housing programs and while we know this ride won’t be easy we hope it offers a financial boost so the excellent work in this field can continue.
“We’ll be riding in the dark, sometimes well into the night and nearly always on dirt and rock except for the sealed roads leading out of Adelaide and into Darwin.”
The riders will be supported by two Keller colleagues charged with manning the 4WD support vehicle. From August 28 you can track the ride online.
